- BlockFi will verify your identity and then you can click the blue “Done” button
- Your profile will then be submitted and reviewed by BlockFi (this can take up to 1-2 business days but took 1 hour for me)
Funding Your BlockFi Interest Account
- BlockFi will email you when it is complete and you can go to the site or app and log in
- Now you need to fund your account by clicking the top menu and “Fund” in the dropdown
- You can fund your account in many different ways, I chose to send Bitcoin from Coinbase to BlockFi
- Select the currency you will receive at BlockFi from the dropdown menu
- This will show you the correct address – for Bitcoin it will say BlockFi Bitcoin Address and have a warning about sending the correct type of crypto asset to this address (you must select the correct crypto that you will send)
- You can also use Plaid to connect your bank account to send money via ACH (I had trouble with this and decided to just send Bitcoin since I had it already)
- Copy the BlockFi address and then paste into the app where you are sending crypto from
- Wait for the transaction to go through and open up BlockFi again to see the amount in your Interest Account
- You must do at least $100 and keep it there for 2.5 months to get the bonus
